The Junior Acting Troupe is an audition-based company of hardworking actors aged 9-15 years.

Actors need to come prepared to stay for the whole audition time and be available for call backs.  We give them scenes and monologues to work on and come back to us over the course of the evening.  It is often helpful to have parents stay to help the actors prepare.

Junior Acting Troupe is a huge commitment for both parents and young artists.  Rehearsals are every Tuesday and Wednesday from 5:30pm-7:30pm.  Actors cannot be late or absent.  Parents volunteer to help with costumes, technical needs, and to provide and sell refreshments to the audience.  We have a few parent meetings after rehearsals during the fall.

The performance dates will be set by the time of audition.  The week of performance is tech week and actors are required to be at the theater Saturday 2-6pm, Sunday 12-6pm, and then Monday-Friday 5-9pm.  Parents sign up to provide dinner for the kids and staff during that week as well.  Performances have typically been on Fridays and Saturdays but that may change this year due to the theater’s availability.  We will let you know at auditions.
